Chaos Erupts at Empele Festival as Pallaso and Alien Skin Clash, UPDF Forces Intervention

Tensions between two prominent Ugandan musicians, Pallaso and Alien Skin, led to chaos at the highly anticipated #EmpeleFestival25, causing a disruption that required intervention from the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and police.

The altercation, which took place during Pallaso’s performance, escalated into violence and forced security forces to step in and restore order.

The incident began when Alien Skin, accompanied by his entourage, stormed the stage during Pallaso’s live performance.

Eyewitnesses reported that Alien Skin and his group attempted to stop Pallaso from performing, which triggered a scuffle between the two parties.

The situation quickly escalated as the crowd grew agitated and tensions mounted between the rival camps. Fans, security personnel, and even other artists present at the event were caught up in the chaos.

As the situation became uncontrollable, security forces were forced to take drastic measures to restore peace. In an attempt to disperse the crowd and prevent further violence, the UPDF and police fired bullets into the air.

The sound of gunshots sent festival-goers into a panic, with many fleeing the venue for their safety. The situation became so serious that the event was temporarily halted as security forces struggled to regain control of the area.

Pallaso, known for his electrifying stage presence and loyal fanbase, later expressed his disappointment over the altercation.

In a brief statement, he said, “It’s unfortunate that such events overshadow the beauty of our music industry. Music should be a force for unity, not for conflict.

This is not what we stand for.” Pallaso’s comments reflected his frustration with how the confrontation tarnished the spirit of the music festival.

Alien Skin, however, has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident. The motives behind his actions remain unclear, although reports suggest that personal and professional rivalries between the two artists may have been brewing for months.

There has been ongoing tension in the Ugandan music scene, with both artists reportedly having disagreements over various issues, adding fuel to the fire of this altercation.

Following the incident, fans and industry stakeholders have called for more professionalism and dialogue within the entertainment industry.

Many have expressed their concern over the growing trend of violence at events, emphasizing the need for artists to work together for the good of the industry and the audience.

The Empele Festival, which was expected to be a celebration of Ugandan music, was marred by this violent outburst, leaving many attendees shaken.

The UPDF and police have confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the confrontation and to identify those responsible for the violence.
