Former U.S. President Donald Trump is once again in the headlines—this time not for his political plans, but for a public war of words with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).
The drama started when Trump ordered a military strike on Iran without asking Congress, a move that sparked anger and concern from many lawmakers, including AOC.
Over the weekend, AOC spoke out strongly on social media. She called Trump’s decision to bomb Iran “a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.”
In simple terms, she meant that Trump should not have made such a big decision without getting approval from Congress, as the U.S. Constitution requires.
She also warned that this action could drag America into another war, which many people fear and do not want. Her post got a lot of attention—and not in a good way from Trump.
On Tuesday, Trump responded to AOC with a long and angry message on his platform, Truth Social. He called her “stupid” and “one of the dumbest people in Congress.”
He even said she should take the same cognitive test he took, claiming he had “aced” it at Walter Reed Medical Center.
He didn’t stop there. Trump mocked her intelligence, accused her of neglecting her district, and said she should go back to “clean up the crime-ridden streets” of her hometown. He also falsely claimed she was from Queens, like him.
Instead of getting angry, AOC responded with a tweet that many people found both funny and powerful.
“Mr. President, don’t take your anger out on me – I’m just a silly girl,” she wrote. The message was a sarcastic way to show that Trump’s insults didn’t affect her.
Then she got serious: “Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war.”
She reminded Trump that he had broken most of the promises he made during his return to politics—within just five months.
But AOC didn’t stop there. A few minutes later, she tweeted again to correct Trump’s claim that she was from Queens.
“Also, I’m a Bronx girl,” she wrote. “You should know that we can eat Queens boys for breakfast. Respectfully.”
That tweet quickly went viral, with thousands of people sharing and liking it. Many saw it as a bold and funny way to shut down Trump’s attack.
This argument is more than just a Twitter fight. It shows the deep political divisions in the United States today. AOC is one of the most outspoken progressive leaders in Congress.
She often challenges powerful figures, and she’s not afraid to speak out—even against former presidents.
Trump, on the other hand, is known for attacking his critics harshly, especially on social media. But AOC’s calm and clever responses show a different way of handling insults: with grace, humor, and facts.
